Our Mission and Philosophy

Chapel Hill Christian School and the Early Learning Academy partners with parents to develop each student’s character and intellectual ability to honor Christ. Growing together academically, socially, and spiritually, we equip students with a Biblical worldview while challenging them to strive for academic excellence.

The Lord Jesus Christ is to be preeminent in all aspects of life including education.  Chapel Hill Christian School is dedicated to establishing and maintaining a strong   spiritual atmosphere where Christian education and genuine spiritual growth can thrive.   We strive to academically challenge each student in preparing for future service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Great emphasis is placed on doing one’s best. Fine arts,             athletics, and other extra-curricular activities play an important role in providing a well-rounded education for each student. As Christians we encourage each other to do what is right and pleasing unto the Lord. We also support one another with regard to the way God created each one of us.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14

Chapel Hill Christian School History

Chapel Hill Christian School began as Independent Christian School in 1979, in association with Independent Baptist Church. It was founded to provide parents with an excellent academic program that had a Christian worldview.  In 1982, Independent Christian School became the ministry of Baptist Temple West and was changed from an ACE school to a traditional elementary school, preschool through sixth grade.  In August 1984, Hope Baptist Church purchased the property which was formerly Baptist Temple West and was renamed Chapel Hill Christian School
